TOPIC: Miami?

Miami? 9 years 7 months ago #109507

I have a 15 foot glass boat my son gave me. No idea
on it's history, or even who made it.

My plan is to turn it into a poor mans inshore/flats
boat.

The progress will be slow as I've got a lot of other
projects.

1. I am going to repair the gunnels and remake the bow
deck. I will emulate the gunnel braces and deck with marine
grade mahogany.

2. Repair keel minor abrasion damage. Then figure out a
way to give the keel more protection.

3. Spray interior with light gray SpeedLiner truck bed
liner. And splatter light blue on it.

4. Install a floor and small elevated deck in front. I'm
not sure on what to use for floor material. The floor will
be sprayed to match interior prior to installation.

5. Smooth off interior transom and add a layer of new
wood. I may add a homemade jack plate to allow for 20"
outboard and tweak for shallow running.

6. Apply new white gelcoat to entire exterior with dump
gun.

Any and all suggestions and advise would be appreciated.

Fortunately I've got the bedliner material and application
gun in my shop.

Thanks
