TOPIC: 1963 Glas-cat "Two Buck Chuck"

Thanks for the ad. Here's my father/daughter protect we're working on. It's a 1963 Glas-cat 15' with a 1963 Evinrude Big Twin 40hp. Bought the boat and trailer out of auction at my old work for $2. Had good felt compression on the pull cord. Confirmed after purchase. Started tinkering with the motor and found the pickup tube fell off in the tank. Fixed that, started right up and runs good in a barrel. Replaced impeller for good measure. So far some sanding and patching of dings here and there and some paint. Currently getting everything put back together and hope you hit the water in the next week or so.
Found registration papers dated back to '71 strapped to the steering bar. Can't find any info online for Glas-cat out of Lewiston, ID. If anyone knows anything I'd love to get some history.

Excellent work by all! Where does a person buy that cool seat vinyl? Would love to get that in red. I hope someone can jump in to give you the information you seek. Great project. My daughter took all measurements and laid out all cut lines for a 9 piece back seat. When I checked her measurements, everything was perfect. It was fun to hear her say at such a young age... well now I finally know why we had to learn how subtract fractions in school! Priceless help!

Thanks for that link. I see they have white too. Maybe I could do a 2 tone interior? Now I need to do some estimating because I haven’t built the 2 bench seats yet.
