just started to redue this 1961 redfish, I hd a 57 several years back and love the look. Can anyone tell me if the motor is a "short shaft" for this model?

the transom 'should' be built for a short shaft motor, all the 1961 Red Fish listed in the archive are setup for a short shaft motor.

i can;t see the lower on the merc to see if its a short shaft

it measures 17'" so i believe it is a short shaft. Thanks for the diagram. it really helps, I will post pice as it moves forward.
