what would the weight of a 1971 merc 65 hp long shaft be, I just know my back says it is a lot. thanks. greg

Hi Greg,
All I know is that Merc 850 I had was about 250 lbs. That had 2 more cylinders, so I would guess about the 220 lb range. The way I understand it, the 650 is the same motor with 2 less pistons.
