I'm replacing the internal wiring on a 1960 Merc 350 since they have become brittle and are cracking. My best guess is that they are 16 gauge. Can anyone confirm? Also, do need to get marine wire or would regular automotive wire be ok. One last question, since I'll only need about a foot of each colour, any suggestions on where best to buy it (without buying a full spool?
Thanks

Ok, I was able to answer most of my own questions. Don't know why I couldn't find it when I first searched, but West Marine sells if by the foot.

With regards to the gauge, I'm pretty sure it is 16, so I'll go with that.
