Yesterday after about 20 minutes of running various speeds I idled for 5 or so minutes. When I went to take off again and hit @ 2500 - 3000 rpm the motor bogged down. I backed off and was able to get going if I advanced the throttle slowly. After planing off I tried WOT it would start off well but start bogging @ 3500 - 4000 rpm. It's never done this before so my first thought was fuel and was going to rebuild the carbs and fuel pump but now I think it may be related to another issue I have occasionally.
A year ago I posted that it would suddenly shut off while under way. By shut off I mean like the key got turned off. It always starts back up and is totally random. Per Dr. Frankenmek I verified the wiring to the distributor is not the issue and the ignition switch is good.
Could the issue I had yesterday be my trigger about to crap out (Both wiring harness and switch box have been replaced) or do you think the current issue is fuel related? I use a clean 6 gal portable thank and put in new hose and bulb last year. I did check the fuel pump filter and it's clean as a whistle.
Thanks,
Kevin
