I bought this 1961 14T in 09, sold it to Clint, then bought her back in 10.
Brought her home today since my Skagit is at the top/upholstery shop.
Going to see if the ol' dockbuster will fire up.

Nice "back-up" ride Bill, looks like she's in pretty good shape too.

Boy Bill, that looks to be in great shape. Is that all original gel coat, or is it painted? That 800 was the most hp you get in '61 too.

What kind of trailer is that? It looks about the same vintage. When I built my trailer, I made it a flat bed based on suggestions from Dick Davis.

Good luck with it!

Bill, very nice. I'll bet she flies right along with that 800 on her. Looks like it's in better shape than the one I picked up. Of course mine has been out in the elements for at least for years or so.

Yes original gelcoat. Someone had sanded her lightly as if preparing to paint, so I don't yet know if she can be brought back. She's pretty original though, the seats match the glove boxes etc.
I've never worked on a DR so this will be new.
The engine serial number shows her to be a 1960 motor, 1372547. 1 year younger than me.
Does anyone know what kind of flush attachment might be available for one of these?

B: Flush adapter..! If that is the small round brass inlet above the prop.? I believe one of our Orlando Glasspar G-3 crowd used the orange top of a TOILET PLUNGER to great success. ! Bungee cord around the cav plate . Maybe further down this forum or search .

I believe the 800 DR is the same as my 700 DR. The inlet is in the trim tab behind the prop..

Id put it in a garbage bucket.

take the trim tab off and put a fitting on a hose and tie it in place. it will work.
