TOPIC: wiring pictures

does anyone have any pictures of the wiring on a mercury 500 50 hp motor?i had to rewire mine,as i've heard alot must do,and i have 2 extra wires left over.the motor runs great,but i can not turn it off by the key.i must use the choke button to kill it.can anyone help?

its a mercury 500-50 hp.....serial # 3169952...i think its a 72 or 73.....i have wiring diagrams....i was wondering if anyone had some close up shots of one with original wires still in tact
