TOPIC: 1963 Merc 110

Got this today for $10.00.

It's a little smaller than my 110.Do these motors call you up and tell you they want a new home? Or are the Towers doing the wild thing while your not looking and new ones are just there in the morning? My God, every week you have a new one at a cost that most people used to spill on the bar back in the day....That is a fine looking motor, always like the angled look of them.A nice addition to the soon to be famous world collection of one Neil Mercaholic!!

This was on the rack at a boat dealership.
The owner was there working on a 115 Mariner and I asked him if this motor was for sale and he said "10 bucks". I asked if it run and he said "for 10 bucks, what do you think?"
Even if it does'nt, well 10 bucks, I can find that in the couch!

I will soak it with Marvel for a while, do a compression test, clean the "jelly" out of the carb, check the points and see if this little shaver is ready to go back to work for another 48 years.
I know it wants to. If not, it can be a nice wall hanger.

The hose from the fuel inlet to the fuel pump is shot.
The fuel pump is was unbolted but is still inside the hood.
The kill switch and wires are shot.
But still only $10.00!
