Neil, way the heck out in Idaho

Man I love those White Mercs. Why are they always either half way across the country or all beat up and corroded? Just last week I drove about 80-100 miles round trip to look at a white 500. The exterior looked decent but when I pulled the wrap found a real mess.
First thing...a mouse skooted out and over my hand when I was releasing the lower wrap clip. Then inside was full of stuffing etc for the nest which had a brand new peanut sized bald baby mouse. The condensation had not been kind to the motor and everything was covered in rust and corrosion. Wires had been feeding the mother thru her gestation period apparently as well. Wasnt too much saving besides the powerhead itself. To add to the problem.... someone had broke open the original white control box and cut out the key cylander.
What a waste of gas and time that was.
