That is such a kind offer Neil. I surely wish I could take you up on that (and certainly make it your and your inlaw's time and effort worth-while) but I honestly have way too many irons in the fire right now.

I probably won't sleep well tonight just thinking about ways to make it work...and I know you know exactly what I mean buddy.

I think I may call this guy and see if I could get it next week, if no one else can make it? I have always wanted a 800. Ill be up that way next week. The add says the controls are with it also. Even better.
Go get it Conrad. If you get it and decide to go short, I have a short mid for it.
I am still waiting on a return call on this one. Called again tonight and left another message. This one has all the letters.
Fergeson-Poole has some of those letters for I believe $25 each. Ain't this stuff fun!

There were actually (2) 80 hp models that had the chrome letters.
The 800FGS and the 800DR.
The really cool thing about the 800DR top had is that it doesn't have a rewind or the related rope handle hanging out & I don't think it has a manual choke sticking up either. Very smooth lines without those two items.
