mini-model working motors from the 50's 60's and 70's bring in this kind of dough. They are not made anymore so I guess that is why the value is so strong. To get 2100 for a restored full sized motor is hard enough. Its all in the person that wants it.
I have seen the vintage Merc 1000 electric motors go for almost as much as this one on ebay.
