Neil I think you need to start a thred with a pic of every one of your motors. We should all follow after the Mercaholic and show what we have junk or treasure.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Although all I have is a bunch of old fishing motors. I am sick in the head. I have a weakness for old Mercury motors. I do have a bunch of candidates for total restores, but I will be 137 years when that gets done. A co-worker asked what in the world are you going to do with all those motors. I told him I didn't have to do anything with them. It's a collector thing. I just bring them home, do compression tests on them, wipe 'em down, and hang them in the engine room. But when you walk in there you gotta say WOW! If they don't, well, maybe they are sick in the head! ;)
It is a Mercury Mancave that makes sense to me...uh...I think!!!!
Still luggin' 'em home in Idaho.

Hey Neil as long as they make you happy! I think even if you only fix one or two of them its still cool and perfectly fine if you have room and no one gets mad with you at the home front. ;-) keep collectin!

I think there is something neat about anything old with its battle scars and history, its nice to restore them but you almost loose something when you do.... (may just be dirt and rust.)
