From looking at pictures on line all the mark 50 I see are all green without decals. Also, is there anything special about these motors?

Mostly green. But there are a few red ones out there. No decals is correct.

CARBS.?? I had a 1953 years ago, & something that the Block was
SAND CAST.? Not sure how to tell that texture.??

. Also KNOTS the shiny COWL WRAP should
have small SQUARE grooves, not the later half round pattern. I

They came green from the factory, but dealers were authorized to paint them to match the boat from at least 1955 through 1958.
