The good Dr.Frankenmerc has had some health problems. After speaking with him he wanted me to post this so people would not worry where he went. He is in rough shape but recovering nicely and as always thinking of everyone else and making friends with all he meets. He will not be on the forum for a little while. He is a stubborn fellow and I'm sure will be back to his old self soon enough. Make him proud and keep up the mercury magic!!

Talked to him this morning; he sounded OK and was in good spirits.

Looks like they do have a diagnosis, thanks to a very sharp E.R. doc.

Everybody say a little prayer for the Doc's recovery!

He seems to be in almost permanently good spirits! That's one of the many wonderful traits about Thom.

I just gave the "Doc" a buzz. Like always to had to wait while he was talking .."free knowledge" to someone there. Thats his "style". Help any. Thought more back issues him, but no. A internal body issue...(age gonna hit us all sooner or later). Anyway, he sounds fine, and back on his feet soon...just needs some rest. Him, like me, aint "spring chickens" any more, but TRUST ME..."Doc is still the "Head clucking Rooster", in the "our chicken coop of old Mercs".

Those who personal never met "The Doc"...put it on the "before I die..Bucket list"! Simple great guy, and wish him the best..(we NEED his, ..(and many..ED included..friend of Thom..)..keep it up.

And ED? Your post the score of many old Merc parts? I thought ya might have gave Thommy a heart attack! Ya all be well.....Robby

Seymour, Let Thom know that Sandy and I have him in our prayers. Glad he's home, don't let him lift anything heavier that a screwdriver. Give us an update in the chat.

Thanks everybody for all the kind words, well wishes, and prays.
They are all graciously appreciated.
I'm still pretty weak, but starting to walk around and tinker a wee bit here-n-there.
I was very fortunate in that I had enough strength to travel to a hospital an hour away and hold Seymour's day old beautiful new baby.
My wife did the driving, so it worked out good for me. :-)
It isn't every day you get to hold such a precious gift, and see the passion in the new poppa's eyes as he hovered.
I've been very fortunate in that when Seymour stepped away from the Mercury Magic Shop to attend to his new baby and needs of his wife (also a real sweet-heart), my other Mercury Padawan (Kenny), who had just finished a series of classes training him for specialty assignments for the government, offered to come help me keep up my commitments to folks in the shop.
Both young men are a real pleasure to be around & to teach the techniques to keeping the Black Stacks purring.
Both young men are able to work independently more and more, and I know that someday, they will teach others as I have shared with them.
I learned a TON for my Mercury Guru, EdMc, who has become one of my closer friends, and I enjoying passing it all forward.
I'm probably not going to be very active on the forum(s) for a while yet, but when my stamina returns,...I'll be back!!! :-)
The picture was just as they had finished cat scans, and stuffed the evil tube up my nose, and down into my stomach to begin pumping out the undesired fluids, etc that were backed up to the tune of 4 liters on the top side of a twist that had developed in my lower intestine. No,...I didn't get to keep my HOOTER'S shirt very long. :-)
Thanks again my friends,
Thom

Glad to hear you are back at home Thom. Take good care and enjoy that new grandchild. Mercs are treasures but Grandkids are priceless. I know, I have 11.

Hi everybody!!! :-)
Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts.
I feel like I am back amongst the living again - finally.
I'm looking forward to posting again real soon.
Currently my 'puter is making life very difficult, but Ed Mc is gonna rescue me this coming weekend.
With Ed's help, I snagged a 'puter that has Windows 7, and am looking forward to Ed working his magic this weekend.
I've been "jones'g" to surf the forums, ebay, and CL too long.
Time to hit the ground running as I have a Merc in the yard calling my name. :-)
Summer is coming!!!

Great to have you back Thom, try and take it easy for a while would ya!? :)

And thank goodness we've got Ed around to help on the magic box's, he can tell you about my recent escapades with Win 8.1 (or see the "New Computer" thread in the NBR Forum). Don't know what we'd do without him, I'd still be struggling to figure this thing out!

Finally getting warm enough here to push mine out in the driveway and fire up the outboard, hasn't been run since early Dec.? Still not cleared for bouncing around in an actual boat ride, but one step closer right.

Indeed! Looking forward to our planned "Play Day" this weekend!

It sure was nice yesterday, and all the grass and dandy-lions have taken notice, too!

Rain expected over the weekend, but they're predicting 4 really nice days in a row next week!

I'm certainly glad the PNW doesn't have to thaw out like back East, just to get to Spring! We're supposed to have a warm, dry Summer, too. Yippee!

Cheers........ed
