TOPIC: 1964 Westfield Deluxe

Hi. I'm 64 Deluxe and I'm a glassoholic.... :)
I've always loved the boats of the 60's, and earlier this year, "fell" on a local deal, that I grabbed as quickly as I possibly could: A 1964 Westfield Deluxe with a 2000 Johnson 50 on the transom (which has been replaced by a 2010 Etec 60).

The boat was fully restored (not sure how many years ago) and triggers lots of thumbs up from other boaters on the Florida intracoastal waterways.
Here are some pics:

Success!
OK, now that I know the pic posting works, let me ask the experts for some advice on what seems to be a area of weakness on the aforementioned boat.
As I was doing something on the trailer, I caught a view of the gunnels underside, and noticed what looked like some old, brittle and dried out material down there.
I also noticed some light play when grabbing the gunnel and applying an upward/downward motion.
Here are a couple of pics taken on each side near the transom:

How concerning is this and what do you recommend I do about it?
Scrape it all off and replace with fiberglass down there all around?

Removing it all is overkill. I had one spot about 18" long on my 1962 MFG Edinboro where the hull had separated from the bedding material used to hold on the deck. I used 3M 5200 to repair it, filling in the gap with it.

My 1966 MFG Niagara used a different material there and is holding up much better. Yours looks the same as that used on my Edinboro.

Thanks Dave. I will just pull whatever breaks lose and fill these rear corners with Bondo Glass.

Sounds like a plan.

The Westfield is a good boat - my Dad had two, a 1963 and a 1966, both bought new. Why is a long story.
