That's a good one right there ! I'll let everyone else figure it out.
I sent the pic to 3 people. I had to explain it to two of them. Ha !

Yep, spring is here! The Mississippi is at about flood stage here in LaCrosse with about 3 to 4 feet more expected in the next couple weeks. The water started coming up with about a foot of ice still on the river, so that has been raising hell with a lot of docks in the area. Normally the ice is pretty much gone by the time it starts coming up, but with the cold and snowy second half of the winter this year that wasn't the case. There also had a lot of heavy snow in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota this year, and that is all coming our direction down the Mississippi. At least it isn't still snowing!!!

BUT,...As I was troubleshooting a cranky old Merc this afternoon, Brandon (one of my sons) tip=toed up behind me and dropped a snow ball (more like an ice ball) down the back of my sweatshirt.
It was "so very special".
There are still small piles of snow in the shade where the snow plows piled it last month, but nothing like some of you folks have experienced.

The windrows in town from the plows were probably averaging about 4 feet. On some of the back roads that I drive the piles were eye level in my Kenworth. After the storm about a month ago, the area just north of us got about 18 inches in a day and there were roads that could only get one lane cleared for a while because they plows weren't big enough. I am sure Cal is used to things like that being that close to the U.P.
The only snow left is in the shade where the big piles were. Now that we are in the 50's and 60's it won't take long to get rid of the rest of it.
