TOPIC: Another Nautilus Creation

My wife likes chimes so I designed/built this for her...an early Christmas present. I used walnut rubbed with 50/50 turpentine and boiled linseed oil and 47 old silver plated spoons that I flattened with a hammer and wire-wheeled. It's pretty noisy!

I came up with another "brilliant" idea for more chimes last night and ordered 10 aluminum tuning forks that cover an entire octave. I'll have to come up with a design to hold them all in a circle and make a round clapper but I ordered this grandfather clock pendulum to use as a wind catcher. I'll hang it in front of one of the windows in the music room. Peggy should be treated to some really irritating dischords when the wind blows.
