Yes, John, Barkhamsted, CT.
There are still a few towns that have canceled school tomorrow. That is 7 snow days already.
Power is still out to many thousands.
My wife and I drove home Sat night (10/29) from Southington. Normally a 1 hr. trip, took 3 hours. I shoveled snow in my tuxedo. I drove through tree canopies. I cannot believe my Subaru was undamaged.
Was forced to backtrack about 7 times, before we finally found a route home. Definitely plowing the last 3-4 miles with my low slung Impreza. Finally got stuck getting in my driveway. The plows balled it up like giant snowmen.
I easily drove under a dozen trees being supported by nothing but power lines barely sneaking under quite a few.
Once was stopped by a large tree, preparing to turn around when a large crack was heard behind us. Almost trapped.
