Very cool Ron. My dad and uncle each had a set. Even had the big four track transformer with the whistle switch and reverse switch. Engines with smoke pellets too! Unfortunately I think my brother hocked them all, can't seem to find them.

I set mine up under the tree for the Grandchildren. This is a few years ago.
I can make it about six feet longer but there is not room.

I had an American Flyer silver locomotive. It was cool. Think my dad accidently (sp) threw it out. It had a headlight and smoked too.
I wish I could find another one.

Here is mine with all the track I have. It's too big to set up this way around the tree and with the skirt my wife has around the tree this year I can't make a small set up. So we put it up just for today.

I wish I had the room, and money Ron, I'd buy it all.

I still have the Lionel train set I got for Christmas in 1964. Its an "uncataloged" set and almost complete. I'm missing the 2 missiles for the flat car and one of the Mercury space capsules for the hopper car. This post inspired me to get it out of the closet after decades in the dark. Still haven't worked up the nerve to plug it in.
