Stupidly bought a 60hp flying Scott today!!! 8 years 10 months ago #110725

I have a decent amount of outboard experience but this one baffles me I bought boat trailer and motor for $75.00 the boat and trailer are awesome but the flywheel is missing any advise on where to get one or if the 40 or 75 are the same???? Please help I have faith that this motor will run!!!!

The 1958 and 1959 60 HP ( large generators with 3 coils on the side of the block) flywheel should be the same. The 1960 60 HP will be totally different due to the switch to single coil/point distributor
system and a different belt. The 40 HP flywheels are not same.

It is the one with the 3 separate coils I'm not sure I want to tackle this one parts seem to be impossible is there a decent amount of parts needed for these motors its complete other than the flywheel

(I recently saw a FREE 75HP Scott "parts motor" there, that the owner just wanted "gone".)
