TOPIC: 1960 Flying Scott 60HP

I joined this forum in order to see if there is interest in a used1960 Flying Scott 60HP outboard. I would like to see it get into the hands of someone who has an appreciation/need for these motors rather than just putting it on eBay. Should I list it on the classified section of this forum? ...or just go ahead and list it on eBay?

I chose to offer my items on this website’s classified adds first since I figured there are people here who have an appreciation for vintage equipment and experts that have the knowledge to help other members restore and keep vintage equipment in use. I figure if no one had interest or is close enough, then maybe list on your local Craigslist or ebay. Certainly the decision is yours. I believe their are members who know these motors and really like them. Good luck whichever way you go..

I'm in North Carolina near Winston-Salem. I have a complete 1960 60HP Flying Scott with tach, switch (can't find the key), wiring harness, fuel tank. I can send pictures if you have interest.

I do still have the motor. It is complete with a tank and all controls, tach, switch, etc. all that is lost is the key. I live near Winston-Salem, NC which is about 7hours east of Nashville. Check with me in the spring and If I don't sell it before then we can see if a deal is possible.
