Saw this on Craigslist, pretty rare to find one of these in a short shaft. Good for your classic boat, excellent fuel economy.

It sounded to me like he has a lot of work done at a shop, then decided he didn't like the motor.

at 1600 lbs of compression , I would think it does need a new starter. lol. frog

sounds more like he bought the parts and doesn't want to fix it himself so just bought a new one, just those parts would cost the 700 he spent without labor.
