TOPIC: Boat identification assistance request

Boat identification assistance request 9 years 7 months ago #109228

Hi FiberGlassic forum gurus, I'm hoping you can help to identify a boat we've recently purchased here in the UK.

She's a 12'6 speedboat with a 5' beam and looks to be of mid-late 50's design. The previous owner had little information to share but believed that it might be a US import. There are no identifying markings on her, apart from one badly deteriorated badge.

Can any of you help us to identify her?

Hi,

I'm glad you like it, I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and just had to by her.

She came with a 1962 Evinrude FastWin 18hp which I'm currently getting back in to working condition so that we can get her back in the water.

Overall she seems in great shape for her age. No plans for major refurb this summer as we want to get her into the water and play with her, but over the winter we'll get busy tidying her up.

No-one here in the UK has any idea of what it could be, so I'm hoping that it will look familiar to one of the guru's on this site. (Back in the 50's we were still primarily producing wooden boats here in the UK, so I'd be surprised if it is locally produced.)

Regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,

I really like your boat. Nice lines and fins too!!!

From the pics it looks to may need some transom work, there are many here that can help you with that if needed.

Those 18hp FastTwins are great motors.

Keep us posted on your progress with pics.

Good luck and have fun with your project.

Regards, Gene
