Very true Jan. He would have to pay me to take it away, but would make a nice camp fire. lol if it is old it must be worth a lot of cash.

I agree. I find this hard to say, but we can't save everything! If they would have been a little more concerned about condition 25 years ago, it would be easier to save it now. :)

P.S. It probably would burn pretty good!!

"a few sheets of plywood and some paint and varnish ??" That boat would require a 90% wood replacement. The labor and material to restore it would cost somewhere around $20,000. You would still need to add a decent motor and rebuild the trailer. The end result would be a boat that would bring $1,000 to $1,500 on a good day from an ignorant buyer. It doesn't even have hardware to salvage. It is absolutely worthless...not even worth the time it would take to destroy it.

Not sure what boat you're seeing, but those 2 pix suggest a lot more then a couple sheets and some paint.

Unfortunately, it isnt possible to save them all and this one in particular is significantly past the point of rescue, IMO too. Sad little boat that could have been nice if someone 15yrs ago had cared enough to garage or cover it well. Should be put out of its misery.
