TOPIC: Anyone know about Liftlock boats ? $1000.00

Anyone know about Liftlock boats ? $1000.00 8 years 4 months ago #125853

Can't say as I've heard of them and there's nothing in the library about the company. Only in Canada eh ? How do you translate Kilowatts into horsepower ? Found a conversion table. 21 Kilowatts equals 28 HP.

An exhaustive interweb search has revealed nothing, nada, zilch. That probably makes it rare but does that equate with value ?

Sounds about right. 21KW=28HP. I guess I've found a unicorn in this boat. Except nobody has ever heard of a Liftlock boat.

I'd be willing to bet it was built in Peterborough Ontario. You might want to contact the chamber of commerce there and see if they have any records of the company. It has to be newer than 1970 as Canada started to move to the metric system during that time.
Not much help but all I can come up with so far....

You're probably right Al. In my interweb search I came across a fiberglass shop there but I couldn't get any info about models or production. As far as I can tell now they only do canoes and repairs so I don't know where to go from there. Just curious as I've never even heard the name. If anybody wants it it's there for the asking. It's in Brantford.
