I wish it were me who could save it, but this has someone else's name on it...Lots of potential for motor options. It looks like the 18 footer. I have seen them with twins, one with triples and one with the big V-6 mercs that I believe breaks 100+ MPH! Way back in the day, the local ski club had pictures of a twin rig Cat with OMC's of the early 60's. Boat hull looks like it has integrity.

That has been 4-sale for a while now. I so wish it was closer and not Black. Actually if I had the funds I would be on the road now.LOL

Hmmmn - I got a 1350 that looks just like that one. Wonder what that boat would do with 270 on the back of it?

I could always put the 1500 on the Marlin...

Cosmic12 - I could get it and drag it as far as east Ohio. Guess you would want to change the color and get your best price.

jimandrose - I was thinking maybe the person was looking for a market with more buyers and more money. Pretty small towns near the border so less potential buyers.

63LStriton - I think I remember someone with a pair of 110's breaking into the 70's. Match the boat color with the 135 stripes...I always likes the 135 number for some odd reason...though 140', 150's or 150xs's would all be sweet!

I am willing to pull it up to 400 miles from me as I travel to Indiana to see family now and then...just trying to be an enabler :)

If I get my hands on it, it will become the BatBoat. I will drive it around the lake wearing a mask and cape. Talking my wife into wearing the Robin costume will be the hardest part of the process.

Hmmm.
Might have to roll on this. Been trying to get my wife into a catwoman uh..outfit for years. "Just to kick around the house in" Maybe thats my angle..Yeah, thats it. I will be batman and we are now "friends".
Oh no this has gone sideways.

If I had the bucks I would take ya up on that offer Dr. But things are a bit rough at this juncture and winter is coming.
Hope someone gets it.

I saw that last night. I hate driving so far for something sight unseen (pics are..Pics).
I talked to the Wifey, she's on board. I have had an ad on C/L in this region for it seems like for ever looking for one of these. (ZILCH) He had it so high before I couldn't consider. If I get it iI may have a Merc 135 for sale. Gonna have to have two Flying Scott's on it. And my Minkota. :<D

The guy wants a hard offer and I am 500 miles away.
Not gonna happen. Experience has shown to never do that.
Not my first time to the old boat/motor rodeo.
It's a cool boat.

Yeah the Mercs would have a lot more power, would be easier to find,( Heck I have one), way easier to get parts for, they would look right.
I have a specific idea on the project though. It needs to be the twin Macs.
I got home at about 11:30 P.M with it last night. Driving in monsoon conditions on US-2 along Lake Michigan was an experience. Thankfully there was a break in the straits area making the Mackinaw bridge crossing possible at 20mph. Thats a long 5 miles at 20 in the wind.
Anyway, I got to looking at it in the light and the black looks like a good base. More orange peel than I would like, needs to be messaged to lay anything on. At this point I think I will more or less do what you were saying, kind of make the black an accent here and there. Embryonic at this point.
The structural work done to it, to my eye looks really good. It's professional work, no doubt.
I have waited a while for this. Gonna go sit in it in the sun.
