Looks pretty rough. Is it a '59?

It would seem so:

Looks like a lump of parts, you never know. If they had the controls, it's worth it just for that.

I sent them an e-mail asking about the controls for the motor. No response yet. Looks like a lot of the parts are NLA. Saw the carbs for $200 a set, and the faceplate seems to be in pretty decent shape.

motor is still sitting. He hasn't found the controls yet. Not sure if I want the lump of parts any more than he does, but it would be a shame to have it go to the dump or get recycled if its salvageable.

I know that feeling. I hate seeing stuff chucked just because it's taking up space and not selling. on the other hand, you can't save them all.
Maybe say something like "If you don't find another buyer within two weeks I'll give you $X for it."?

For sure pick it up! If it was closer to me l'd have it. FYI that light accessory on top cowl is worth it.

I second that. That nav light accessory is really tough to find.
More than worth it.
Jump on it.
