It's closer to Dr. Go. just a little north of him.

Only 65 miles. Hmm. Says the motor is a '71 (and serial number seems to indicate that). However, Blue stripes mean they are '72 or '73 from what I see on the "Decal" sites. If faceplate says "Marine", it indicates a 73. If faceplate says "Kiekhaefer", it indicates a '72.

It IS a short shaft which I like and seems harder to find. Maybe this motor was morphed from part motors since something doesn't add up without the back story.

If someone wants it all, I can go get it. If you only want boat and trailer, I might consider taking a leap of faith on that motor if we could break the price down to something reasonable for both parties. With the work needed for both, I am thinking the package would heave to get closer to 800 total and figure how to split that. At first, it all looks good, but we all know everything needs work before we would trust being on the water with either. I think that maybe it was Nautilus that said "even a free boat isn't free" (or maybe another member said it, but so true).

It's all good...made me look and that's the goal anyway. I hadn't looked on CR in many days and it is only 60 miles away. If I knew that motor was running each year...maybe...I just know I would have to do lots before I fired it up. I sure do like the short shaft 115. I need to learn to let this go and stay focused.
