i stopped by and looked at the boat today... here's a brief report:

it's a 1965 wacanda runabout

the motor is a 1964 johnson 75hp motor. it hasn't ran in some years, but the motor is not seized up. grabbed the flywheel and was able to rotate it a few degrees each direction by hand.

the windshield is GLASS. and in perfect condition

2 large gas cans included. they've been stored with gas in them. didn't get a chance to look inside of them

2 push-pull steering setups are included with the boat. neither is in great shape. may or may not be functional.

trailer is in decent looking shape appearance-wise. looked to be a tilt trailer, but i wasn't able to verify this. it was dark

the boat has a couple squishy spots in the floor... =(

guy said it was $150 OBO. i get the feeling he'd take $100 for it.

One last thing: clear title on the boat and the trailer

well, i wouldn't say that i rescued it... not yet anyway. i'm not in a position to be able to fix the boat... too many irons in the fire. i'm not up for a stringer-replacement job. i am looking to nab some of the parts off of it and then let the rest of it go. anyone interested in the hull? it'd be free, but come with no motor or trailer, and i'd have nabbed several of the little bits and pieces off of it. i can store it for a while if someone here wants it as well. if a trailer was needed, i do have one i can let go with it if someone's interested.

one other question... according to the title, the trailer is also a 1965. the 75hp johnson is a 1964, best i can tell, and the boat's a '65. what's the likelyhood that this boat/motor/trailer all came together from the factory?
