That dorsett has been for sale for a long time, and is pretty rare for this part of the country. I had thought about buying it myself but the wife says no more boats. If you do buy it make sure to post lots of pictures, and keep us informed on the restoration project.

It's a '59 Dorsett Catalina or San Jaun, depending on LOA.

Nice Get! I have always liked Dorsetts. Skagits as well but you never see them out this way.

I'm still on the fence on it. Had to run up to green bay yesterday and spend 500 on a 1200 chainsaw yesterday.... Plus I live in Mauston, and my truck is in storage in central Iowa near the last jobsite I worked. If I did get it, I wouldn't be able to start on it for a while since I have a lot on the honeydoo list to knock out.
Have you had a chance to go take a look at this boat yet Jet? |

No I haven't been able to look at it in person. I just seen it on craigslist, thought it was cool, and was immediately shot down by the wife.

The verdict is in, she's a Catalina. She's tucked away in the shed, and about to be moved over into the member projects forum. =)I'll post pics tomorrow.
