There are not too many of these highly prized Whaler Outrages around, so I thought you might like to see mine. It is a 1971 Outrage 21, manufactured Dec 19, 1970 as hull #132. The boat still incorporates a lot of teak wood trim, including the teak center console. The boat is all original, and this model was the first of Whaler Outrage line, of which they manufactured 722 boats. The series got their name from a comment on how the boat looked to someone in 1970.

Three thumbs up! I'm a fan of Whalers, but have never seen that model b4, very cool cockpit doings. She's got to ride real nice especially with those beautiful twins on her back side. Nice stature @ the water line, very nice lines. :woohoo:

Thanks to both of the above posters.

For those that want to see more of the details on this old classic, here a photo album link.

Incidentally, I just read last week that the Antique Boat Association (or whatever it's offical name is) has just ruled that now fiberglass boats up through 1975 are considered "classics" by their terminology.

Beautiful boat and pristine Mercs.

VERY impressive boat and twin power. Not familiar with that specific Outrage. Awesome. Not a bad tow vehcile either...LT-1 Fleetwood, nice! What's the boat, motor and trailer weigh?

Thank you. The tow vehicle is a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, with the optional 7000# tow package factory installed. It's bascially a Suburban in disguise according to my Cadillac service guys, with all towing related components from the truck division, including the 3.70 rear end. It tows this fairly lightweight 21' Whaler like I don't even know it's there.

The boat is advertized as 1600#, engines are 305# each, and the 4300# capacity trailer weighs about 700#. I figure in an extra 400# for twin batteries, fuel, canvas and misc gear. It easily runs in the low 50's with the twin Merc "towers" and 22" Laser II props, and gets about 2.5 MPG at 30 MPH cruise.

The engines are 1985 Ported piston 115 ADI's, which I bought new. Decals and faceplates are 1971, to match the year of the boat.
