TOPIC: Fabuglas Trident

Fabuglas Trident 9 years 16 hours ago #116107

Howdy all!

New to the group and I just picked up a fixer upper Fabuglas Trident 154. There was no previous registration or paperwork with it. I wonder if anyone knows how to a)figure out the year and b)tell the difference between a Mk II 154 and a base 154?

Due to motor size (an 85 Johnson), I'm not sure whether mine is a Mk II or not. Fabuglas charts say that the base 154 has a max 70 hp and Mk IIs have a max 95 hp, and since it seems my motor may be original, it would tend to say that I have the MkII.

Also, on one of the model lists I saw, there was an option for a 154 "Dix"- does anyone know what that means?

Thank you in advance for your comments!

I tried to buy a 154 Trident a few years ago. I believe it was a 74. Take a look at the HIN on the transom and the last numbers should tell you the year. I hope you found an avacodo green one, those are really "unique"

As far as I can tell the dlx is the delux model and comes with just about every option available.

That makes sense that the dix is actually dlx for deluxe. Should have known that. lol.

As far as the HIN, I'll look tonight. Thanks!

And no green for me- I have a cream colored one. I'll post a pic soon.
