TOPIC: 1972 Ouachita 14"

1972 Ouachita 14" 13 years 8 months ago #28190

Hello all, I am new to this site and glad that I found it. I was given a 1972 Ouachita (Title says Quachita) and I am try to restore it for my sons (8, 4, and 2 years old) to use. The main thing that I am having problems finding to the trim that goes around the edge of the boat. It where the hull meets the top. Could anyone point me to where I might get this part. If you can see the picture, it;s the edgeof the boat. Thank you.

Welcome AJ, glad to have you join us. The trim you refer to is called rub rail. There are many sources, like iboats.com, westmarine.com, etc.. One company that actually manufactures the product is Wefco Rubber Products, and they have a pretty good selection on their website;

We'd love to see some pictures of you project, if you're having trouble posting pics you can refer to this thread in the support forum;
