TOPIC: Need help ID'ing a boat

Recent purchase of a 31' cabin cruiser and cant seem to find any info on the manufacturer.

hull id is SMP01089MD74
31'1" length
10' width
twin 302 fords

Owner states its a 1974 South Hampton 311 but I can find ANY info on this manufacturer.

Any info would be greatly app.

1st, WELCOME ABOARD.

Your cabin cruiser MAY have been built by: G.G. Scholley & Sons Boatworks of Shadyside, MD 20867. - That company has been out of business since the early 1990s, according to a MD waterman, who I know.
(Mike has been "a marine professional in the business" for a LONG time & usually is 100% correct. Unfortunately, he said that the name of that defunct company is ALL that he knows about the cruiser.)

As there were literally THOUSANDS of boatbuilders, who are/were building boats since WWII, you may never find out much about the builder of your boat.
(IF I was really interested in its history, I'd try calling the South Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, 5503 Muddy Creek Rd., Churchton, MD 20733. Phone: 410-867- 3129.)
