TOPIC: Alumacraft TeeNee trailer

Alumacraft TeeNee trailer 13 years 1 month ago #50319

This pic is from an Alumacraft accessory catalogue, showing what appears to be a TeeNee trailer with a feature I've never seen on TeeNees, or any other vintage trailer, for that matter. Tilt trailers I've seen. Tilt trailers with two hitches, I've seen.

But a pivot? Has anybody seen a trailer like this, with a "Tip-N-Turn"?

I have a 1972 Sylvan 6X10 utility trailer that does that. At first I thought something was wrong with the trailer, but nope, kinda handy once in a while!

Well, unfortunately I'm at work and by the time I get home at night we don't have much light. I'll see if I can check it out tonight Bill.

My yellow Jacket is on a trailer that does that along with mu Jon boat. The one under my YJ has a collar that slides over and tighten down while the Jon boats has pin that you install

both will not raise while pulling down the road if you have the winch holding the boat in place

Yes, the Tip & Turn was a Tee Nee option dating back to at least 1955.
I suspect the Alumacraft was a re branded Tee Nee.

How do you want me to send you the material Andy? Problem is, a lot of the catalogs are bigger than my scanner.

John, here's a couple.

Thanks for your interest- there are a couple different strategies if material to be scanned is larger than the scanner:

1. locate a larger scanner (new or used from yard-sales/pawnshops)

2. scan large materials in parts and be satisfied

3. use computer software to stitch multiple scanned images together (ex. Adobe Photoshop (expensive) or Microsoft Image Composite Editor (free)

Option 2 may be best for large-fold out materials where the final image may be too large in size to display easily on the computer

Option 3 is best for materials that may be odd-sized but not too large like 8.5x14 or 11x17

I have the software to stitch images together, so no problem submitting multiple images for the same item of literature. You can submit images through posting in the Library Additions forum or emailing me directly.

Someone here on this site years ago scanned and had posted a whole bunch of Tee Nee trailer brochures and price lists. There was a special section devtoed just to Tee Nee. This was many years ago, prior to the current Library section being created.

If that material can be located, then the scanning need not be duplicated.

I wonder if that material can be resurrected? I have no clue who did it originally.
