TOPIC: A better trailer

Done some trading with a friend and got a spare/better Wesco trailer just like my original under the AristoCraft. Think I'm going to redo it this winter for my boat. My old trailer has some salt damage and this new one,I think will be easier to fix .

That looks good. Is the main beam a round tube?

Robert,It has a thick wall pipe for the tongue that goes back to a hinge that's made from smaller pipes. It's been so long since my old trailer would tilt, I about forgot how easy it tilts. My old one's tilt was welded together decades ago and is on it's second tongue and the hinge is badly rusted on the inside from going to the coast. Plus my old frame is badly pitted up. The new one looks to have never seen any salt. jim

When I first got my Tee Nee I didn't know it tilted. We took the boat off and one day I was looking at it and wondered why there was so much metal in the tongue. I seen the turn out for the pivot and said that this is a tilt trailer. It looked like it had not been used in 20 years. I took the turn bolt out and forced it to tilt. Man what a job that was. I tilts now like new. Keep us posted on your progress. I know I'd like to see it.
