TOPIC: Info Needed for the Glassic Library

Please warm up your scanners and send some trailer brochure images for the Glassic Library.

Hey Andy, I have a bunch of Tee Nee literature, trouble is most of it is bigger than my scanner. I'll send you what I can, as time allows.
What dpi & file size would you recommend?
Here's a sample at 300x300dpi & 1000x 775

Hi Bill,

What you have attached is about perfect. Usually 100 to 150 KB in size is optimal for enough detail but quick display and low storage requirements.

If originals are larger than your scanner, go ahead and scan them in overlapping parts. I have composite image software (Microsoft ICE - free!) that can stitch overlapping images together rather well, especially the images captured from a flatbed scanner. Sometimes there are jumbo foldouts that just don't display well and will have to be broken up into smaller final images.

we found this alloy page that I had printed off from somewhere on fg about 10 years ago...must of gotten lost during one of the site changes...sorry black/white....don't know if you want this kind of stuff or not...john
