TOPIC: Original Tee-Nee Paint?

Getting down to the original yellow on my first Tee-Nee project.
I have most of the "Backyard Blue" off, and now down to the remnants of the original paint. There doesn't appear to be any sort of primer under the Factory paint.
Used strippers, and a wire wheel so far. Got a quote on a media blast, but not in the budget.Besides, I'm a DIY person.

The steel is in exceptionally sound condition, nothing but minor surface rust.

Wondering if anyone might know what type of paint might have been used originally? Enamel, lacquer,???
Colour wise, it looks pretty close to John Deere yellow.
Thinking about TSC paint with a hardener.
....or some of the rust paints like Rustoleum, Cor-Stop, Tremclad etc.
Could spray it on, but leaning toward roll & tip to avoid overspray.
as painying in a Hangar with other expensive equipment nearby!
Way to cold outdoors.

I'm doing another wesco trailer for my Aristo Craft right now as years of salt water use done a lot of damage to the original wesco. I'm going to use Rustoleum Almond color enamel. And going to use spray cans on the tops of the fenders and maybe outside of frame and use a quart with a good brush on the inside of the frame and the under side of the fenders. If the paint flows and lays good with the brush,I may brush all the frame. I'm doing it in my basement so I don't want to spray anymore than I have to. I'm using the rustoleum so I can touch it up if ever needed.

When I did mine I thought about doing yellow but in my heart I wanted the gray I put on because I wanted the fenders to be what I painted them. The fenders are an original 50's paint. It is actually a teal nitrocellulose paint.

Good compromise to spray the fenders, and roll the frame.
That teal colour is very attractive, and very "50's....hummmm, decisions decisions.

Also would like to remove the axle assembly.....anything tricky about that operation? Comments or suggestions welcome.
