TOPIC: SlickCraft Boats

Looking for any information regarding these boats.
I just picked up a 1958-9 SlickCraft Premier.
Somebody out there has to know about these boats?

Hi John,

Slickcraft was an S2 Yachts boat brand, the company who owns Tiara and Pursuit. Slickcraft was originally made in Michigan (S2 still has a plant in Holland, MI today where they build their house brands as well as Van Dutch boats) but the Slickcraft brand was discontinued in the late 1980's I believe.

The guy who started Slickcraft began working at a Chris Craft plant but decided to branch out on his own. He made some really nice wood boats and I like the first fiberglass ones they made as well. I don't know much about your particular model but post some pictures if you have any.

I'm intrigued. I would love to see some photos as well.

Leon Slikkers started Slikcraft boats after he departed Chris-Craft. Started out in wood but switched to fiberglass after a short period of time. Holland, Michigan was their home. Ultimately gobbled up by other companies.
