I'm hoping the chip board inner hull is just to hold the frames together ?

Done and your right this guy is smoking something if he thinks that boat is worth anything more than maybe $2.5-3K as a "rare" pattern boat.

Chuck and Bob. Gotta agree on this one. A rare boat? Worth 50g's when restored with 100g's put in for parts and labor. Hardware does look good though. No mention of a "running" motor so you have to assume a complete rebuild with parts that are almost impossible to find.
Did anyone inform Jan of this one?? He could put a big block Chev in there.

Yes....I see it. I just don't believe it! That boat is in worse shape than the 1929 Dee Wite I restored and that one was over $100K for parts, material and labor. The problem with Chris Crafts is that if you ever want them to be worth the big bucks, you have to do them RIGHT...every little detail.

I'm still trying to recover from seeing the flake board bottom. What kind of moron screws flake board to the bottom of a classic Chris Craft? You're looking at a 90% wood replacement; a $100K+ restoration. Obviously, he has finally figured out what we already know...it's a money pit from which he'll never recover. What he has there is firewood. His "Hail Mary" asking price is self-delusional. It's not worth a penny over $3K, parts and all.
