TOPIC: 1959 Thompson Sea Lancer

I am close to completion of the restoration on the 1959 Thompson 17 ft. Sea Lancer lapstrake boat. She's powered by a 1958 Johnson 50 HP outboard motor. Watched the freighter arrive on Saturday 08 Aug 2020 at the mouth of the Menominee River on Lake Michigan's Green Bay. She was hauling pulp.

Have you tried Craigslist? Maybe Facebook marketplace.
Coming the fall season is not the best time to sell a boat unless you practically give it away and I would not do that. Actually March/April was always good for me even when snow was still on the ground. "UP NORT" lake owners look for something to keep at their docks for taking kids/grandkids out for a day of fun.

I hear what our friend 63 Sabre is saying about selling boat up north… seems if you let the 4th of July pass before a sale, everyone turns to buying snow blowers, all wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicles or other winter items like snowmobiles so they can wrench and prep them for winter. You have a very nice boat, so if you can store it until spring, maybe you have a better chance. I see a lot of people using Market place on Facebook. Sold some wheels and tires within 12 hours and the person drove from 90 miles away… had several looking and 3 calls to see within those 12 hours.
