Very difficult to make any judgement on condition with the two little photos.

The boat is a 1962 model year or newer, it is NOT a 1950s model. Why? Because Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. first introduced the LANCER EXPRESS in 1962.

Andreas,
Great catch as usual. we can always count on you to keep people straight on the boat history. ;)

Neil,
Still a cool boat but if you want a 50's model keep looking, they're out there. What do you do, strip, stain, varnish and enjoy, of course!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Thanks guys.
It still amazes me how when trying to sell a boat, people with post a picture of a different boat. just kooky.

Bruce Drake over at the Northwest Classic Boat Club visited this cruiser and took more photos with an assessment of it's current condition and needs. It is a 1964 model.

I contacted the seller and got the hull ID and serial number (they are different on boats made by Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. of Peshtig,, WI). Both had too many digits. But, I think it is a 1963 model year boat.

It is the Lancer Express which is the cabin version of the Sea Lancer open boat. They have the exact same hull. The Lancer Express made its debut in the 1962 model year.
