TOPIC: Woodie Newbie got a 1965 Pacific

Woodie Newbie got a 1965 Pacific 11 years 9 months ago #74695

Hi all,

I just made the purchase of this 1965 Pacific woodie. I have had a 1964 Chris Craft Aquahome and a 1978 Century, but this is my first woodie.

I am not sure what the model is though. Anyone have an idea what this is?

I also want to find the original engine and kicker motor. They were on the boat but the guy I bought it from (2nd owner) sold them so he could get the 90 hp Mercury that is on it it now. Any help with info of where I should be looking for these motors?

Looks like a 1965 Evinrude 40 HP Big Twin or '65 33 HP Ski Twin motor. The two-lever control shows it was a manual-shift model (not the electric-shift Lark). Might try Ebay, Craigslist, local marine service shops, the newspaper, local auction houses. Really any 1965 model-year outboard would be appropriate if striving for historical accuracy.
