TOPIC: Tossing this around

As much as I hate to write it I'm tossing around the idea of putting my Century Sabre up for sale. She's a sound running 18 foot daily driver with no problems. Less than 15 hours on the rebuilt AMC 327. Still working on my Shell Lake build and will have to part with one of my sweeties.

Well ? buying and selling boats runs rampant this time of year ? You been bit by the bug ?
Is your other boat done ?
Will you have a working boat for summer ?
I say put a price on it that no one will pay, that way you'll feel better.
If someone does pay it, sell it and hurry up on the other boat.
But don't ruin your summer fun till boat 2 is finished.
Because the best laid plans with set time constraints, ALWAYS has a few bumps in it.

I agree with setting the price high. Make it more than you would expect to get for it, and if someone wants to pay it more power to you. You won't feel so bad for selling it. And if it doesn't sell, not a problem. When you really want to sell it, it would sell in a heart beat to the right person. If someone is interested, they will at least contact you even at the high price and maybe you can work out a price agreeable to both sides.

Good ideas, nothing's going to get done until July anyway since vacation is taking up the month of June. I'll bring it to a few boat shows this summer and set a high price while it sits in the water.

i've been quiet up until now but I have to agree with everyone. I'd hate to see you sell her but if you have to price her high and see what happens. She's a great looking boat!!!!!!!!!!!!
